My relationship with him changed my life, introducing me to a depth of love for animals I had not previously imagined. He came to live with me after the death of my parents and developed cancer of the mouth shortly after that. His courage, acceptance and dignity in the following months showed me that the process of death can beautiful and inspirational. -Lucy Morganstern
