About Lucy

Lucy Morganstern is a professional violinist, composer, teacher, intuitive healer and Universal Life Church minister.

A resident of New York City, she is a member of the American Ballet Theatre and American Symphony Orchestras and has toured extensively throughout the United States. She has played in recital at Hunter College and Manhattanville College and has composed and performed the music to an improvisation theatre piece at the Merce Cunningham Studio. She has also improvised on a recording of the works of Yoel Ben Simhon.

Lucy has also been involved in healing work on behalf of both people and animals. She has studied and taught Brain Gym®, a whole brain integration technique, as well as TTouch™, a touch oriented therapy created specifically to help animals, and uses these and other modalities in addition to her intuitive healing gifts. She has also been involved in hospice work with dying animals.

In the summer of 2002  Lucy composed a piece of music commemorating Mirabelle, the recently deceased cat of one of her clients, and subsequently continued to honor the memory of people and animals in musical compositions which she calls “Musical Memorials.” She was invited to play some of her Musical Memorials at the 8th International Festival of Women Composers held in Gainesville, Florida in 2003.

Subsequently, Lucy was asked to give a presentation at the annual conference of the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement, where she spoke about and demonstrated the healing aspects of music. She performed some of her Musical Memorials and additionally, created extemporaneous compositions for grieving workshop participants.

Lucy became a Universal Life Church minister in 2008.
